No, I didn’t watch it, although it is on my TiVo in case pounding my head against a brick wall for two hours doesn’t meet my daily masochistic needs.
I will say this: last night’s episode of Superstars of Dance exceeded my expectations. In my post last week, I had estimated that the show would bleed 25% of its 10.5 million viewers in its second week. In fact, viewership was down 32% in the first hour, to 7.21 million, and fell another 300k to 6.92 million in the second hour. Instead of eeking out a small win in the timeslot, the show was slaughtered across the board, finishing #4 on the evening, and #5 in key demographics (behind Univision).
With only two weeks to go, its still hard to image NBC would cancel the show. That being said, the network may not want to risk viewers enjoying the fare on other channels.
