After a year of delays, the Baryshnikov Arts Center has finally closed their purchase on the 299-seat theater from the 37 Arts building. The theater will now be renamed “The Jerome Robbins Theater”.

Even though this comes as no surprise given that the deal has been in the works for a while, it’s always a relief, especially in this economic chaos, to see a project of this scale step back from the brink and move forward successfully.
