This Thursday, TenduTV will in attendance at the DancenOw/NYC festival to watch Battleworks, who will be honored and performing as part of the festival taking place at Dance Theater Workshop. Battleworks will be performing both a piece created ten years ago, as well as a new work. Those of you who are unfortunate enough to miss Battleworks live, may find small comfort in the fact that next week, TenduTV will be bringing you Overture, called “The best work of the Joyce program” by the late New York Sun.
The DancenOw Festival, which began last night, features 65 companies performing 40 new works, and will be offering up a rich and varied program every night until November 1st. If you’re a first-time or novice audience member, this is a great way to get exposure to the diversity of modern and contemporary dance, and every evening’s program has some strong highlights.
Tickets are available directly from Dance Theater Workshop.
